For South Korea, kimchi is a symbol of national pride, and Kim Myung-Sung makes some of the best fermented vegetables around. Originally inclined to make a delicious gift for his wife, he has since committed his life to making the perfect kimchi. Here's his secret.

This Great Big Story was inspired by Genesis.

We find inspiration in movies that highlight universal themes, challenging stereotypes surrounding Asians and immigration, as exemplified by Bong Joon-ho’s “Parasite.”

Did you know? Parachute Kids, predominantly from Asian countries, are sent to the United States to study in an American school and live alone with a host family, while their parents stay in their home country.

Research indicates that these students encounter the most stress when adjusting to host families, while experiencing lower stress levels in assimilating into schools and academic settings.

Breaking stereotypes: Asian American women are more than just silent figures or sexualized objects. From battling the ‘Model Minority’ myth to shattering the ‘Forever Foreigner’ label, we’re rewriting the narrative. It’s time to amplify our voices and reclaim our visibility. 💪🏼✊🏼
